Rules of the Road

From my friend stationed in Balad, Iraq:

We've learned over the last few months that if a convoy is halted for 15 minutes or less there is only a two percent chance they will take fire. A convoy in the same place for 15-20 minutes stands a 25 chance of taking fire. A convoy halted for 30 minutes has a 75 percent chance. The goal with any halt (emergency, rest, etc) is to get moving within 15 minutes.

But this isn't another Vietnam, nosiree.
