Bush AWOL: Howler, as usual, nails the press coverage
Here.
How is it that the well-paid reporters and millionaire pundits are recycling hazy memories and hearsay, and only the blogosphere is digging into the actual documents in the case—that is, the evidence—and doing extensive interviews?
Here at Corrente, we don't know. But we do know that the SCLM is unwilling to raise any questions about Bush's character: We know Bush feels he can lie with impunity, and that he never admits a mistake. True for the Guard story; true for the WMDs. Truly, a fortunate son. And our First-admendment-protected press just doesn't make the call.
